Do you measure leadership by:
The number of good deeds youโve done? The community activities youโve participated in? The number of lives youโve impacted? If so, do you really need to?
๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฒ, I believe leadership isnโt about keeping a record of actions to prove something itโs about embodying values that define you. When I reflect on what truly matters, I ask myself: ๐ฏ๐๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ฐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐ฐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ ๐? If I start tracking every action to validate my leadership, I feel like the essence of it is lost. It creates doubt rather than confidence, as if I need proof to convince myself of who I am.
Thatโs why I ask myself another question: ๐จ๐ ๐ฐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐? Because in the end, leadership isnโt about numbers or recognition itโs about how authentically we live our values.
To me, true leadership should be as natural as the sun rising and setting. It happens without reminders, without announcements it simply is. The kind of leader you are should be reflected in your daily life, not in a checklist of achievements.
What do you think? Is leadership something to be measured or something to be lived?
