Convenings, workshops, and leadership moments — each with what I actually took away from it.
Participated in the National Mastercard Foundation Scholars Convening in Accra, a gathering that brought together scholars to engage in discussions around leadership, technology, financial awareness, networking, and personal development. The convening provided opportunities to learn from experienced professionals, connect with fellow scholars from partner universities, and strengthen skills related to digital storytelling, collaboration, and navigating future opportunities.
Participated in the National Geographic Society’s Youth Change Maker Convening in Accra, West Africa, as an alumnus of the Marine & Community Conservation externship with Extern and The Nature Conservancy. The convening brought together young leaders to explore environmental conservation, community resilience, and sustainable solutions through learning sessions, discussions, and community engagement activities. The experience strengthened my understanding of environmental challenges, collaboration, and the role of youth in creating meaningful change.
Attended the Bold New Normal Conference 2025 in Accra, under the invitation of the Ashesi Career Services Team. The conference brought together leaders, professionals, and changemakers for conversations around leadership, culture, personal growth, and transformation. I was honored to serve as a reader for Chapter 9 of Lucy Quist’s French edition book, La Nouvelle Norme Audacieuse, during the book launch. This experience strengthened my public speaking skills, highlighted the value of bilingual communication, and provided meaningful insights into leadership and personal development.
Selected as an in-person participant representing Ashesi University at the Baobab Summit 2025 held in Nairobi, Kenya, from October 17th to 19th, 2025. The summit brought together Mastercard Foundation Scholars, alumni, and partners from across Africa to engage in conversations around leadership, personal growth, innovation, career development, and community impact. Through storytelling sessions, innovation labs, and collaborative discussions, I strengthened my understanding of purpose-driven leadership, technology for social good, and the importance of using personal experiences to create meaningful change.
Selected as a Mastercard Foundation Scholar at Ashesi University, receiving support for academic development, leadership growth, and community engagement. Through this experience, I have been part of a diverse network of young leaders, participating in programs, workshops, and initiatives focused on innovation, social impact, and personal development. The scholarship has provided opportunities to strengthen my technical skills, expand my perspectives, and contribute to meaningful projects aimed at creating positive change in my community and beyond.
Participated in an intensive Transformative Leadership training at Ashesi University, certified by VS Management & Consulting, focused on community-driven initiatives and practical approaches to solving real-world challenges. Through this experience, I developed a deeper understanding of the role young people play in driving meaningful change, not through grand gestures, but through consistent, intentional actions. As part of the Young Leaders of African Development University (A.D.U.), I contributed to discussions and activities centered on leadership, responsibility, and impact within our communities. This experience strengthened my commitment to applying what I learn in practical ways, with the goal of creating sustainable and positive change in my environment and beyond.
Represented African Development University of Niger as a Scholars Representative at the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Council held in Nairobi, Kenya. The gathering brought together student leaders from Mastercard Foundation partner universities to engage in discussions around transformative leadership, community building, networking, and social impact initiatives. Through this experience, I strengthened my leadership skills, expanded my understanding of scholar-driven community initiatives, and connected with a diverse network of young leaders across Africa.
